The Chakras -energy centres- tell us a lot about who we are, including the origin of our physical and emotional pains.
According to Ayurvedic medicine, the chakras are spinning energy vortices.

Buddhist philosopher, Michio Kushi, offers the below explanation :

« Universal’s energy force tends to charge the right side of the brain, whilst the Earth’s energy Force influences the left side. Where those forces collide they form a union called the Chakras or energy centers ».

The electro magnetic flow generated from those centres have an impact on both our physical and emotional well-being.

At the same time, the Chakras are also influenced by our history, emotions and environment. There is a definite connection between the Chakras, energy pathways and our physical body.
Each Chakras is connected to a body part, so whilst Chakras can not be operated on directly, if the flow is impaired, imbalance manifests in the form of discomfort or pain on the physical level?
Reflexologists, acupuncturists, Shiastu practitioner, Reiki masters all work on those energy centres albeit using different means.

In Yoga, the use of proper breathing is key for appropriate distribution of the Prana -vital force- to promote a healthy flow throughout the energetic system.

This theory and practical workshop introduces you to the major Chakras, their correspondences on the physical body, what it means on the physico-emotional level when they are ‘blocked’, what a Chakra energy ladder is, and how each one of us can work on our own Chakras through specific breathing, exercise, food, with the use of gemstones, and colours.

This interactive workshop includes time for postural practice (Asana), supervised breathing (Pranayama), Mudras (hand seals) and Meditation with content dedicated to the Chakras.

A personal ‘Chakra’ questionnaire will be sent to you prior to the workshop to help you get the most out of this workshop.
